Overgrown
Unlocking Labs Mysteries
In this horror mystery top-down shooter you play as a character who is unsure of where he is and
how he got there. All he knows is it looks like he has woken up in some kind of corrupt lab that
has become overgrown with vicious mutated vegetation. The player is tasked with finding notes
which slowly reveal the mysteries behind what happened to the lab and why the protagonist is
there. Armed with a flamethrower the player must find all 7 notes while fending off the mutated
creatures: bees, plant-infected scientists, spores, and pea shooters. Once the player has found all
7 notes the truth as to why the protagonist is there will be revealed, connecting everything in a
satisfying full circle back to the root of it all.

Gameplay
The goal of this game is to navigate your way through the dark and gloomy laboratory while finding the notes that will slowly help you to regain your memory of why you are in the laboratory. While attempting to find these notes you will be tasked with remembering the layout of the map and avoiding or defeating the overgrown creatures that stand in your way. Armed with your flame thrower and a dash you need to fight and dodge your way around these enemies.
What was my Roll?
As the primary contributor to the UI assets, I focused on crafting a seamless and user-friendly interface that enhanced the overall gaming experience. From intuitive buttons to visually appealing icons, I meticulously designed every element to ensure smooth navigation and aesthetic coherence.

Additionally, I took charge of designing the visually striking title screen that sets the tone for the game. Through careful attention to color schemes, typography, and graphics, I aimed to create an immersive first impression that captivates players from the moment they start the game.
